Undergraduate Programs & MPA in Public Administration
The world of the 21st century is a global community in which it is important to know about other cultures and other languages. The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures specializes in French, Italian and Spanish, taught by outstanding faculty in small classes which afford students a great deal of individual attention.
Our programs impart traditional skills in the language of specialization, provide a comprehensive knowledge of its literature and culture, and develop critical insights. Both majors and minors and an honors program are offered in each of our department languages. Students can double major in any one of Binghamton University's other departments, benefit from a semester abroad programs or receive an International Studies Certificate in addition to a degree from the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures.
